Bensons for Beds

We are excited to partner with Bensons for Beds to support and empower people living with mental health problems and make sure they get the support they need.

Bensons for Beds supported Mind’s emergency coronavirus appeal earlier this year by donating £10 from every purchase during Easter and May Bank Holidays. The national bed retailer will also donate £10 to Mind for every Rollo mattress sold, a new collection which launched this autumn. They also provided advertising airtime across the nation, helping raise awareness of Mind’s Emergency Appeal during the first lockdown and bringing in £210,000 from members of the public. This year, their support helped to raise an amazing £370,000 for Mind, thanks to the generosity of their customers.

Money raised for the Emergency Appeal helped Mind adapt many of its services to the mental health challenges created by the pandemic. The TV airtime also helped raise awareness of Mind’s vital work, including its coronavirus information hub and its Infoline and Legal Line where members of the public can seek mental health support.

Joe Wykes, Bensons for Beds COO says: “We would like to thank all our customers for their generous support over the past year and we are delighted that by working together we have been able to support Mind during these uncertain times. There are so many synergies between mental health and sleep. The home can be the starting point of many conversations – where people come together, spending time talking and sharing good times, as well as more difficult times. We therefore felt Mind would be an ideal partner for us as we head into a new decade.”

Emma Ishan, Head of Corporate Partnerships at Mind says: “Every year, one in four of us will experience a mental health problem. We believe no one should have to face a mental problem alone.  With hundreds of thousands of people living with a mental health problem, every day.

“This partnership will help support our work, such as our vital Infoline, which provides support and advice for people living with mental health problems. We would like to thank Bensons for Beds for their generous support, this partnership will help us continue to be there for people who need it, when they need it the most.”
