West Sussex Mind: Worthing GP Practice Mental Health Workers

We are looking for an individual with relevant mental health work experience and ideally a relevant qualification (perhaps as a counsellor, teacher, social worker, nurse, PWP, housing or advice worker) who have a passion and interest in this area.

As this is currently a temporary position, we are looking for somebody who can start quickly.

As a GP practice mental health worker you will see patients individually, supporting them to identify what they need and helping them to work on issues and also access local support to meet these needs including local Pathfinder services. You will be able to take a holistic and flexible approach in your work with individuals supporting around both social and psychological issues that arise. You may also run practice based groups and well-being sessions where these needs are identified.

Depending on who is recruited there may well be some flexibility in the hours and days worked and it may be possible to work in the role during school hours. The successful candidate will need to be able to travel to sites across the Worthing area. Please indicate on your application the days and hours you are available to work.

This post is subject to an enhanced DBS check.

The closing date for applications is – Friday 14th February 2020 at 12.00 noon

Interviews – Thursday 20th February 2020
