West Sussex Mind - Staying Well Mental Health Worker (Maternity Cover)

About the role

The Staying Well Service is a crisis prevention service located in Central Worthing, it offers a safe and supportive out-of-hours service specifically aimed at individuals who are struggling to cope when other mental health services are not available and where regular or frequent mental health crises are a feature of their on-going mental health needs.

The Staying Well Service is a safe place where individuals can choose to attend and will help to prevent them needing NHS urgent care services. The service operates during the week from 5pm-10.30pm and from 12 noon–10.30pm at weekends.

As a Staying Well Worker you will on occasion also be responsible for leading the operation of the service whilst on duty. This will involve overseeing the running of the shift ensuring that individuals accessing the service are effectively supported to stay safe and benefit from being in the environment. This will include direct work with individuals as well as overseeing the work of peer support staff and volunteers.  This post is subject to an enhanced DBS check.
