West Sussex Mind - Sessional Support Worker

About the role

Sessional Support Workers help with planning, co-ordination, and administration, and lead in the delivery of sessions, at our in-person groups and online. We offer a variety of social, creative, pastime and leisure activities for older adults. You will work closely alongside our CIM volunteers and may be asked to provide telephone support to our service users when required.

To apply you will need to evidence that you have:

• Knowledge around mental health and older people
• Skills in providing support to older people and/or people who have mental health problems
• Knowledge and skills around working in groups
• The ability to learn and use digital and social media applications in work
• Good written and verbal communication skills, IT, and digital skills
• Very good interpersonal skills, working as part of a team
