West Sussex Mind - Peer Support Workers (Families in Mind Service)

With funding from the Big Lottery we are looking for a peer support worker for our successful Families in Mind service which operates in Adur, Worthing & Arun. This post will support our Arun and Worthing delivery.

We are looking for an individual who has a passion and interest in mental health and some experience in this area through employment or volunteering. We particularly welcome applications from people who have had personal lived experiences of having mental health problems and being a parent.

As a peer support worker you will help mental health workers run and set up groups in community settings and also support parents individually in a range of settings.

Core working days are Monday to Thursday, hours to be agreed. The successful candidates will need to be able to travel to sites across the area.

This post is subject to an enhanced DBS check.

The closing date for applications is: 9am 29 May 2020

Interview: Wednesday 10 June 2020 depending on guidance at the time this may be in person with social distancing measures or online via zoom.
