West Sussex Mind - Mental Health Training Coordinator

About the role

West Sussex Mind is a local mental health charity committed to raising awareness around and providing high quality support for people who have mental health problems. We have a successful Training department and now have a vacancy for a part-time training co-ordinator to co-ordinate and lead administrative and liaison work which supports the delivery of our training events and contracts across West Sussex.

Supported by a Mental Health Training Administrator, whom they will line-manage, the training co-ordinator will oversee and monitor all training activity delivered by the Training Department, updating the training manager on a regular basis. They will be involved in planning and publicising programmes and events. They will develop systems and oversee booking processes and liaise with trainers and external providers around arrangements and materials for individual events. They will ensure that training is evaluated and collate and report on evaluations. The successful candidate will need to be highly organised with excellent verbal and written communication and IT skills. They will also need to have the ability to develop professional relationships with stakeholders including West Sussex Mind staff and trainers and external agencies. Ideally they will have had experience of working in a training or human resources setting.

The post is primarily home-based but with the need or possibility of office working in Worthing/Littlehampton or Shoreham on occasion. The ability to travel to sites across West Sussex will sometimes be necessary. The hours can be worked flexibly across the week but must include Fridays
