We’re Mind, the mental health charity. We won’t give up until everyone experiencing a mental health problem gets support and respect. We provide advice and support to empower anybody experiencing a mental health problem and we campaign to improve services, raise awareness and promote understanding.
The Networks and Communities Department (N&C), has a crucially important role in enabling Mind to reach more people, increase our influence and effect long-lasting change in all communities across England and Wales. Our primary vehicle for achieving this goal is through supporting and strengthening a federated network of over 120 local Mind organisations.
The Strategic Lead for London works with the 19 local Minds in London, who collectively support 42,000 people and cover all but two London boroughs. The role reports to the Head of Community Services at Mind but is also accountable to the Mind in London Steering Group and will work closely with its Chair. Their role is to develop and provide strategic leadership to Mind in London, giving local Minds across the capital a strong, influential collective voice and maximising opportunities for business development.
Line managing the Regional Influencing Lead and part of a small team with another Strategic Lead in Manchester, the Strategic Lead is responsible for: maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders across London (including STPs, commissioners, partners and funders), growing the public profile of Mind in London, developing collaborative working amongst local Minds and business development.
Mind is committed to equality of opportunity for all staff, and applications from individuals are encouraged regardless of age, disability, sex, gender reassignment, sexual orientation, pregnancy and maternity, race, religion or belief and marriage and civil partnerships.
Mind reserve the right to close the vacancy to applications earlier, should we receive a high volume of strong candidates – therefore we encourage an early application.
Mind is an equal opportunities employer.
