Springfield Mind - Senior Practitioner : Telephone Triage (Days/Nights)

About the role

Due to expansion, we are looking to recruit 2 Senior Practitioners - one on days and one on nights. Day shifts are 9am - 5pm and night shifts are a mixture of 5pm-1am and 1am - 9am. The service operates 365 days a year on a rota basis.

Senior Practitioners support the 2 Team Leaders. 16 of the 28 hours are worked on the triage line managing calls from individuals who are experiencing a high level of mental health distress, their families and professionals. Practitioners work in close partnership with the NHS Crisis Team acting as a link between individuals, professionals and other services ensuring continuity of support by delivering an efficient and effective person-centred service.

The remaining 12 hours per week, will be spent supporting the Team Leader, taking responsibility for specific areas of work. This will include, but not be limited to, inducting and training new staff, facilitating reflective practice sessions, taking responsibility for the signposting database and cleansing data on Charity Log. There is no line management of staff in this post.
