Self Employed Collector - Filey

About the role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a self employed collector in our Filey Mind Shop. You'll deliver collection sacks to residential houses and collect unwanted clothing, bric-a-brac and other household items from houses.

The rate of pay is £40 per 200 bags collected and you must have use of own vehicle.

Job specification

  • To deliver bags in accordance with shop management guidelines.
  • Collection of bags and delivery back to storage/sorting area of shop on date and time specified by shop management.
  • To collect bags that were not collected initially.
  • Ad hoc house collections/customer collections.
  • Areas to be canvassed to be arranged with shop management, to ensure continuation of good quality stock.
  • Weekly production of record book to shop management. Confirm invoice for authorisation by the manager.
  • To act in a professional manner in keeping with the image of Mind Retail at all times.
  • To wear collectors badge when carrying out deliveries and collections.
  • You will exceed customer expectations by giving the highest quality of service.

Ideally we want to hear from people with backgrounds in management or supervisor experience in high street or charity retail. If you haven’t got this experience, don’t worry. We're just as interested in people who want a retail career, are prepared to work hard and eager to learn. If that sounds like you then we would love to hear from you too.
