The amazing Royal Parks Foundation Half Marathon takes place on Sunday 13 October. It is set to be a great day with a fantastic atmosphere as thousands of dedicated runners take on this stunning autumnal race through London’s picturesque parks.
We have over 600 runners are taking part on behalf of Mind who are raising funds to help us be there for everyone who’s stressed, depressed or in crisis.
This year we have two fantastic volunteering opportunities which will help ensure our runners have the best day and feel supported.
No experience is necessary for either role and we will provide you with everything you need, including a Mind t-shirt on the day, so all you’ll need to do is turn up and have a fun time!
If you are interested in volunteering, then please do get in touch letting us know which opportunity you would like to do:
We will have our very own Mind water station this year along the course. Details are still being confirmed with the organisers, but do get in touch if you would like to hand out water to some very appreciative runners.
We’re looking for people to cheer with us at one of two cheer points along the course:
- 8.30am – 11am Constitution Hill, nearest tube Green Park/Hyde Park Corner
- 9.30 am – 12.30pm Kensington Gardens, nearest tube Knightsbridge/Hyde Park Corner
If you are only available for a couple of hours during these time slots, we’d still love to have you help us cheer on our amazing runners. We look forward to you joining us at this fantastic event!
What are we looking for?
Enthusiastic, friendly people with a willingness to cheer.
We’ll send through full details with a map and contact on the day.
Bear in mind transport is likely to be busier than normal as it’s an event day. There will be road closures for the route.
If you have a friends or family who would also like to join, then we’d love to welcome them to the group too.
If you are interested in volunteering for either role, please email [email protected] and we will send you more information
