Mind has a large and successful Retail network, comprising 157 shops, with an annual turnover that exceeds £17 million. We have ambitious plans to open more shops in the strategic period 2021-24. With over 450 staff and 3000 volunteers, we are committed to promoting the core values of Mind through our retail teams. Our people are at the heart of everything we do. We are seeking a dynamic, ambitious, experienced Head of HR to drive and develop our people and equity strategy as our business goes from strength to strength. This is a unique and exciting opportunity to make a real difference in a growing and successful organisation. As a key member of the management team, you will not only shape the HR and L&D strategy, you will implement it as well. Working in partnership with the Managing Director, Heads of Function and Regional Managers to maximise business and individual performance, you will be responsible for designing, developing and delivering best practise HR solutions that meet the current and future needs of the business

The Successful Applicant
Highly energetic and committed with a strong enthusiasm for the business, the successful candidate will have the strength of personality and gravitas to hold their own with the senior team, supporting the different and diverse challenges within the business. This role requires a business manager first and foremost with the HR expertise and functional experience to make a visible difference.
We would expect you to lead by example and be an ambassador for Mind Retail’s Values and Behaviours. Your skillset will include strong communication, great organisational skills, attention to detail, proactivity and a commitment to quality.
