About the role

Purpose of the post:

·       To provide a high quality, efficient reception service at Clarence House

·       To be responsible for a varied workload of administration tasks

The successful applicant will have experience of:

·       Providing reception / welcoming duties: answering and responding to numerous diverse phone calls and email enquiries

·       Responding appropriately to people who are in emotional distress

·       Using databases and Microsoft Office programmes (including Word, Excel and Outlook)

·       Lived experience of mental health difficulties

The successful candidate will:

handle confidential information, especially in an administrative setting

Have excellent communication skills, written and verbal: ability to communicate with people who have a range of needs

Be a confident IT user and able to learn how to use new systems quickly

Have excellent organisation skills and able to manage a wide range of tasks

Be able to work effectively within and across multiple teams

Be self-motivating and able to work independently

Be able to take initiative and problem-solve

Have high attention to detail and accuracy
