The Policy and Campaigns Officer is responsible for critical aspects of Mind’s policy and campaigns work with the outcome of improving the lives and experiences of people with mental health problems.
You will support day-to-day policy work by carrying our research, writing briefings, contributing to the team’s engagement with people with lived experience of mental health problems, and representing Mind at external stakeholder meetings. You will also work closely with other members of the External Relations department to deliver events and campaign outputs across our digital channels.
Your key responsibilities will consist of contributing to the Policy and Campaigns team's whilst supporting people with lived experience of mental health, support colleagues to plan, deliver and evaluate specific areas of Mind's policy and campaigning activity and working with colleagues to influence Government, national bodies, local decision makers, and other stakeholders on behalf of people with mental health problems.
This position will initially, in line with current and potentially future guidance, be based from home. Post lockdown this role will retain some flexibility but post holders will be expected to be in the office a minimum of two days thereafter (or more, depending on the arrangements of your team)
