The Oxfordshire Mind Line Manager will oversee workers embedded within Adult Mental Health Teams (AMHT) and workers delivering expert benefits advice for people experiencing mental health issues. The manager will lead a team to deliver co-ordinated, high quality support and to work closely in partnership with NHS partners and the rest of the Oxfordshire Mind Wellbeing Service. The manager will also work alongside the Oxfordshire Mind Peer Support and Volunteering team to develop a team of volunteers that will enhance the work of the Better Benefits for Mental Health (BBMH) workers.
Embedded workers within the AMHT’s provide wellbeing options and information sessions across the county and link with other embedded workers from both BBMH and partner organisations. These sessions can either be a one off or up to 5 one on one sessions to provide the client with the information and the tools to promote and aid their recovery.
BBMH workers provide a full advice service focusing on disability benefits and provide benefit health checks, new claims and work at on appeals to 1st tier Tribunal Service. Volunteers are an integral part of Oxfordshire Mind’s ability to deliver services and this role will be to develop to provide support to both teams and to support clients with benefit claims and emotional support at face-to-face benefit assessments.
