Oxfordshire Mind - AMHT Wellbeing Service Worker

About the role

Oxfordshire Mind launched the AMHT Wellbeing Project in October 2019. The project aims to forge strong links between staff in community mental health teams in Oxfordshire, and Oxfordshire Mind staff to produce better outcomes for patients.

Each of the AMHT Wellbeing Workers cover one geographical area (Oxford City, North and West Oxfordshire, South Oxfordshire) and are based within Adult Mental Health Teams (AMHT) that provide secondary care to people experiencing severe or enduring mental health issues.

Wellbeing Workers will seek to offer a holistic, non-clinical approach which will complement work completed with the AMHT to enable people to have a smoother transition back into primary care and to develop tools, techniques and a support network that can help them manage their mental health and wellbeing in the future. Service users are encouraged to utilise support in their community and workers take an active role in supporting visits and interaction with services and other community resources.

Workers utilise person centred tools, goal setting and work with service users on a 1:1 basis for up to 6 sessions and receive line management supervision from the AMHT Wellbeing project coordinator.
