Network Relations Lead

About the role

We won’t give up until everyone experiencing a mental health problem gets both support and respect. We provide advice and support to empower anyone experiencing a mental health problem. We campaign to improve services, raise awareness and promote understanding.

The Network Relations team at Mind are looking for someone who is passionate about building and developing relationships and supporting organisations in times of challenge and opportunities. The post is to provide secondment cover within the team until March 2022, so ideally we’re looking for someone who is able to join the team relatively quickly.
Mind won’t give up until everyone experiencing a mental health problem gets both support and respect. This is a chance for you to support the wellbeing and development of the Network. Ensuring that local Minds are able to fully participate and prosper as part of the Mind Federation, be resilient and embrace collaboration, growth and development.
The team assures that local Minds are supported to navigate risks and challenges affecting all areas of their organisations and provides support, advice and guidance as needed
As Network Relations Lead, you will work closely with a number of local Minds across the federation experiencing key challenges, growth opportunities and navigating partnerships. You will also provide organisational development support to local Minds and support the network through a collaborative approach to enable them to thrive.
We are looking for applicants who have strong and demonstrable backgrounds and skills in the following areas:
• A consultative approach to supporting organisations through risk, who is able to evidence solid understanding and application of risk management approaches
• a strong relationship management background
• A strong understanding of federated structures and partnership development
• strong communication skills
• A strong working knowledge of areas such as governance, MOU development and growth, and;
• a background in building and sustaining relationships over long periods and successful conflict management

This position will initially, in line with current and potentially future guidance, be based from home. Post lockdown this role will retain some flexibility but post holders will be expected to be in the office a minimum of two days thereafter (or more, depending on the arrangements of your team)
