Mind in West Sussex, Parental Mental Health Worker - Families in Mind

About the role

Could you make a difference to local parents? West Sussex Mind are looking for a parental mental health worker for our successful Families in Mind service which operates in Adur, Worthing and Arun. This is an exciting opportunity to join a small and passionate team supporting local parents of young children.

For this temporary role we are looking for individuals with relevant mental health and family work experience and ideally a relevant qualification (perhaps as a counsellor, teacher, social worker, nurse or PWP) who have a passion and interest in this area.

As a parental mental health worker, you will develop relationships with community groups and services working with families. You will plan and deliver face-to-face and virtual group sessions to support positive mental health and well-being of parents. You will also offer recovery focused face-to-face, telephone and video calls on an individual basis to parents.

There is some flexibility in the hours and days worked but these would need to include Monday, Tuesday and Thursday mornings.

The successful candidates will need to be able to travel to sites across the area and there may be some specified hours of work.
