Mind in the City, Hackney and Waltham Forest - Sessional Self-Employed Bank Therapist/Supervisor

About the role

Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team in the exciting, challenging and diverse boroughs of the City of London, Hackney and Waltham Forest within the charity sector, the post holder will be responsible for providing sessional counselling and or therapeutic group facilitation within one of MindCHWF’s psychological therapy services. The post holder will be a qualified clinician with a minimum of 500 clinical hours completed. They will be accredited with BACP, UKCP or HCPC with additional training and experience facilitating psychosocial group interventions and be confident working in a trauma-informed way with:

• clients who have a range of social and psychological support needs which range in complexity
• clients who are frontline health and social care workers
• In addition, they may have:
• Qualification in and experience delivering clinical supervision
• Experience/training/ knowledge of facilitating Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, DBT, Managing Anger and Difficult Emotions protocol, Single Session Therapy (SST), Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), Mindfulness
• Lived experience as part of a demographic that experiences health inequalities
• The post holder may offer advice and consultation on clients’ psychological care to colleagues from other disciplines and to other, non-professional carers and will work autonomously within professional guidelines and the overall framework of the team’s policies and governance procedures.
• Working on the front line of mental health and social care, the post holder will provide a psychologically safe environment for clients. They will work to demonstrate the value and outcomes of these services to bring about meaningful psycho-social change. The post requires self-sufficient administration in line with contract protocols, ability to manage intensive caseloads, collect and administrate outcome measures and a commitment to delivering good clinical outcomes.
