Mind in Kingston - Trustee

About the role

We are looking for three new trustees, one with the experience to be our board advisor for clinical activity.

We are looking  to maintain a diverse board with complimentary backgrounds and skills. We are looking for trustees with a passion for our work and a commitment to better mental health. We are looking for people who can bring lived experience to the role to bring insight and perspective into our planning and decision making, whether gained personally to your own wellbeing, through people close to you, or through professional work.

We would welcome interest from those with former experience of Mind as beneficiaries, staff, volunteers or trustees. We would welcome you if this is your first trustee position, first experience of sitting on a board, or if you are an experienced board member. We are looking to build the best trustee team we can, and that means embracing the benefits of diversity .

We are conscious that our work as a trustee group would currently benefit from the following particular skills and experiences, though please get in touch and let us know your strengths whether on this list or not, we want to explore all opportunities:

• Marketing and Fundraising
• Clinical professional
• Community building
• Outreach and engagement
• Local knowledge of Kingston, Sutton, Merton, or Surrey
• Belonging to one or more communities in Kingston, Sutton, Merton or Surrey
• Bringing lived experience that makes our board more diverse.
• Networked with local businesses or funders
• Trustees and experience of working in the charity sector
