out-of-pocket expenses paid
Harrow, NW London
Mind in Harrow has a strong track record in delivering effective community mental health services, and is now recruiting its next Chair to lead a newly refreshed Board of Trustees through a sustained period of organisational growth and development. Working in partnership with an experienced executive leadership team, this is an exciting opportunity to expand the service offer and geographical footprint of Mind in Harrow, collaborating with local Minds operating across North-West London and our Statutory, Community and Voluntary Sector partners.
With a commitment to Mind values and an appetite for change, growth and building internal and external relationships, you would be joining a charity firmly embedded in the diverse communities it serves and one which places those who use our services at its heart.
The Chair role is voluntary with expenses paid. Six full Board meetings per year take place on Monday evenings in central Harrow or virtually via videoconference. Sub committees of the Board also meet at intervals through the year. The successful candidate will ideally be based in NW London, within easy reach of Harrow.
Full details including the Role Description, Person Specification and Application Form can be downloaded from our website: https://www.mindinharrow.org.uk/get-involved/become-a-trustee/become-chair-of-the-board/.
If you have the skills, values and commitment for the role and can help make our mission a reality, then we really would like to hear from you. We recognise the importance of having a diverse and inclusive Board of Trustees and would therefore welcome applications from people with lived experience of mental health problems and those who reflect the diversity of Harrow’s racialised communities.

Interviews will be in the week of 17 January 2021
If you would like to have an informal conversation with an acting Trustee before submitting an application, please do email the Chair at: [email protected]
Appointment is subject to an Enhanced DBS check and satisfactory references
