Mind in Croydon, with an annual income of £1 million and around 40 staff, runs a number of projects to help people with Mental Health problems. These include counselling, welfare benefits advice, advocacy, and social networking. This post managing our Advocacy Service requires leadership skills to take this established and highly respected service forward.
You will run our successful team dealing with a wide range of issues. The two Advocates and the Advocacy Manager operate in the community and in the Bethlem Hospital, with inpatients including some highly complex cases, carrying out general advocacy in the community and Independent Mental Health Advocacy (IMHA). You will be IMHA qualified and devise strategy for the service responding to funding needs.
