About the role

Mid and North East Essex Mind want to ensure that no one faces a mental health problem alone. We provide counselling, peer support and practical support to adults and children across the area.

A great opportunity has arisen to manage an innovative new service for young people aged 16- 19 years who are on the Autism Spectrum. The service will help support young people with their mental health and wellbeing; help to develop social and life skills; provide opportunities to access further education and employment. We aim to help break the stigma surrounding these young people and create a service that champions their skills and abilities and celebrates their contribution to the local community and the world of work.

We believe that developing a holistic, person-centred service will help to promote good mental health and wellbeing and facilitate confidence and self-esteem int he lives of young people and their families.

We are seeking to recruit a creative, resourceful service manager who has a good understanding of the challenges faced by young people today and who is enthusiastic and committed to making a difference

Staff benefits include pension, training and generous holiday allowance.
