Mid and North East Essex Mind - Outreach Worker (Mid Essex Sanctuary)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Outreach Worker to be part a fast-paced multidisciplinary team for our Sanctuary Service.  The Sanctuary accepts referrals from the Emergency Services, other professional bodies. It is an accessible service to those living within the locality of Mid Essex who are experiencing a Mental Health Crisis. The aim of the Sanctuary is to help reduce the number of admissions to A&E for those who have no physical/medical need.

The role of the Mental Health Outreach Worker will be to take an assertive approach to meet clients with serious and enduring mental health difficulties, assessing how best to support them while encouraging engagement that includes signposting and attending appointments with primary and secondary Mental Health services. The overall aim is to help those with lived experience regain choice and responsibility for their lives.
