London Landmarks Half Marathon Volun-cheer

Closing date:
Chancery Lane/High Holborn

About the role

We’re looking for volun-cheerers to help support our runners with some motivational cheering and encouragement. It’ll be fabulous to have you as part of the team!

The amazing London Landmarks Half Marathon takes place on Sunday 29 March 2020. It is set to be a great day with a fantastic atmosphere as thousands of dedicated runners take on this run through Westminster and the City.

Over 300 runners are taking part on behalf of Mind. Our wonderful runners are raising funds to help us be there for everyone who’s stressed, depressed or in crisis. We want to ensure they have the best day and your cheers will help motivate them on their way. Join us and help make sure no one has to face a mental health problem alone.

No experience necessary. We’re looking for enthusiastic, friendly people who are happy to get involved and cheer loudly for Mind!

We will provide you with cheering accessories and a Mind t-shirt on the day so all you’ll need to do is turn up ready to cheer and have a fun time!

We’re looking for people to cheer with us at our cheer points along the course:

  • Mile 6 – Chancery Lane/High Holborn (WC1V 7BN) – 9.30am – 12.30pm

If you are only available for a couple of hours during these time slots, we’d still love to have you help us cheer on our amazing runners. We look forward to you joining us at this fantastic event!

Practical Considerations

We’ll send through full details with a map and contact on the day.

Bear in mind transport is likely to be busier than normal as it’s an event day. There will be road closures for the route.  Unfortunately we are unable to provide travel expense for the day.

If you have a friends or family who would also like to join, then we’d love to welcome them to the group too – please note that anyone under the age of 18 years will need to be accompanied by a guardian.

If you are interested in the role, please email [email protected] for more information.
