Islington Mind - Volunteer Therapists

About the role

The Psychosis Therapy Project (PTP) is a specialist psychotherapy service for people with an experience of psychosis. The PTP is seeking volunteer trainee therapists interested in a placement at Islington Mind's Crisis Café.

The Crisis Café provides out-of-hours support to clients with complex needs. It runs weeknights from 6pm to 10pm and weekends from 2pm to 6pm at Islington Mind's Despard Road centre in Archway, North London. The Crisis Café is an open supportive space in need of dedicated on-site therapists available for ad-hoc sessions with service users.

This placement is a unique opportunity to acquire new clinical skills in a diverse setting. Through clinical placements at the PTP, trainee therapists can benefit from first-hand clinical experience under the guidance of experienced senior therapists. Specialist training and supervision are provided.

A commitment of one evening per week or one day per weekend is required for a minimum period of 12 months.
