About the role

We plan to develop a holistic Mother to Mother programme for mothers and female caregivers of those with mental health problems. Our aim is to provide them with a space to have their voices heard; to share their experiences; and gain access to information and support.

At the centre of this provision is a supervised therapeutic social space that brings female caregivers together and offers them opportunities to socialise and support each other informally.

We are looking to recruit a woman who has experience of working with caregivers of people with mental health problems.

You will help provide a flexible and recovery oriented community mental health service to mothers who are carers of people with mental health problems. The goal is to help them to develop individual support plans, mental health self-management tools and (if they require further support) assist them in gaining access to mainstream mental health services.
