About the role

Outcome is the LGBTQ+ service of Islington Mind. We open every Tuesday and offer an activity based safe therapeutic space for LGBTQ+ people who experience mental distress.

We are developing a new project aimed at ensuring the safety and at impacting on the recovery process of LBT+ women experiencing domestic violence.

We are looking to recruit a women, member of the LBTQ+ community with evidenced experience of working with victims of Domestic Violence.

This is an exciting opportunity to become part of an LGBTQ+ collaborative and dynamic team that is eager to significantly impact on the wellbeing and the recovery process of LGBTQ+ people who experience mental distress.

You will help with developing and running our new LBTQ+ DV project with a group of volunteers. You will provide emotional and practical support to LBT+ victims of domestic violence in one to one and group settings, help with recruiting volunteers, with facilitating peer support, developing and running a Befriending Program and with developing activities aimed at improving confidence, self-esteem and resilience of LBT+ women.
