About the role

Islington Mind is a highly regarded, innovative local Charity supporting people with mental health problems. The service aims to support people to develop strategies to enable them to live independently and reduce risk of relapse and need for support from statutory services. CRCE will be offering one-to-one support in two ways:

-       Short term crisis intervention in the form of drop-in surgeries, escorting to appointments, help with form filling and making phone calls.

-       Long term support for service users with complex needs.

The project worker will co-ordinate the tasks, supporting a team of dedicated volunteers.

We are looking for a person with experience in supporting people with mental health problems, over the telephone and face-to-face. Previous experience of working with volunteers would be an advantage but not essential. We are looking for a person that shares our ethos and dedication to supporting people with mental health problems to make changes in their life.
