About the role

This is an ideal opportunity for someone wishing to gain valuable community fundraising experience in a dynamic national charity, supporting the day to day work of the Community Fundraising Team. The role offers the opportunity to gain a working knowledge of community fundraising across a wide range of events fundraising activity.

We pride ourselves on our excellent customer care to all our fundraising supporters, from phone calls, emails, e-newsletters, letters and post-event receptions. The Fundraising Admin Volunteer will be involved with customer care, updating our database, managing fundraising materials, planning event day activities. You may have the opportunity to attend some events and get some real experience with fundraising supporters.

The Community, Events and Fundraising Development Team sits within the Public Fundraising Unit and is made up of 20 fundraisers working across Mind’s portfolio of fundraising events and products. The team raises approximately £6.1 million gross income per year for Mind’s work.

Mind aims to ensure that the needs and interest of mental health services users, women, black and minority ethnic communities, disabled people, lesbians, gay men and bisexuals and people of all ages are reflected in all its activities. The Fundraising Admin Volunteer is expected to contribute to this aim.

The role is flexible and we are looking for someone who can volunteer from our Stratford Office, East London for 3 days per week for four months. Although the post is unpaid, we can offer reimbursement of travel up to £15 per day and lunch expenses up to £5 per day.
