About the role

Derbyshire Mind has a long history of providing high quality, confidential, independent advocacy services. We are looking for enthusiastic, passionate, hard-working individuals to join us to support clients to express their views, wishes and feelings and assist them in safeguarding their rights.

The successful candidate will work with a variety of vulnerable people, some with multiple and complex needs. The role involves visiting clients on a regular basis in care homes and hospitals to support them to understand and exercise their rights in relation to the authorised Deprivation of their Liberty. This includes supporting people to request a review of the authorisation and/or appeal to the Court of Protection.
