Derbyshire Mind is one of a federated network of local Mind charities across the country. Our focus is on improving mental health and wellbeing for people across Derbyshire. We provide a range of advocacy and community wellbeing services designed to support people with mental health problems as well as the wider population. We are committed to developing innovative and responsive services which further promote mental health awareness and wellbeing.
This key role provides a professional and accessible first response to clients and others contacting Derbyshire Mind. The person appointed will respond effectively and efficiently to enquiries and referrals, provide information and signposting, triage referrals and deliver low level advocacy support via telephone and email, as well as undertake general administrative tasks and update/maintain the website.
The successful candidate will have experience of communicating with a range of vulnerable people and experience in a helpline, advice and guidance or similar role. They will have excellent communication skills both written and oral, and be able to provide person centred telephone support, as well as an enthusiastic, committed approach and personal resilience. The role will be based at Kingsway Hospital, Derby with occasional travel across Derbyshire.

Interviews will be held on Thursday 23rd July 2020. Our preference is to interview face to face, in Derby, but if this is not possible due to the Coronavirus situation, the interviews will be by video call.
