We’re looking for an exceptional Communications and Marketing Officer to come and join our team to help develop, deliver and evaluate our marketing campaigns to support our flagship Blue Light programme. The programme is providing tailored support for the mental health of emergency services personnel following the outbreak of coronavirus.
Reporting to the Senior Marketing Officer, you will work take responsibility for the day to day delivery of marketing and communications for the Blue Light programme, contributing to how we reach the target audience using a range of on and offline marketing techniques and developing content to work across marketing channels.
You will work closely with colleagues across Mind and external funders and partners to promote Mind’s brand, raise awareness and raise funds. You will take the initiative to support our wider team and organisational objectives, spotting opportunities and contributing to our continual improvement.
The Communications and Marketing unit sits within Mind’s External Relations department alongside digital, campaigning, policy, information, legal and media. You will work closely with colleagues across all other departments: Fundraising, Infrastructure, Retail, Wales and Networks and Communities, building relationships with local Minds where appropriate.
Candidates will have proven experience within a communications and marketing role, delivering a range of communication materials to engage different audiences, whilst having sound understanding of branding principles. With experience of using common IT packages, you will have excellent interpersonal skills and will ideally have experience of B2B marketing, or working with corporate partners.
This position will initially, in line with current and potentially future guidance, be based from home. Post lockdown this role will retain some flexibility but post holders will be expected to be in the office a minimum of two days thereafter (or more, depending on the arrangements of your team)
