Bromley, Lewisham & Greenwich Mind - Minds Up Training Coordinator

About the role

Bromley, Lewisham and Greenwich Mind currently have funding to expand on a project that we started in two secondary schools in Bromley. The project is called ‘Minds Up.’ The focus of the programme is on enabling young people to recognise and understand their mental health but also to take care of their wellbeing and ask for help when needed.

In response to this, we are looking for an individual to work with secondary schools within the three boroughs that we operate and identify which schools will be next to benefit from the programme. You need to be a self-starter, who can recognise opportunities and capitalise on them. The successful applicant will also be required to deliver the training that has already been designed and adjust content where this seems appropriate and worthwhile.

Ideally with experience of working in a secondary school before, you will be confident with training young people around mental health and wellbeing and have a good understanding of mental health issues and how they impact on people’s lives. You must be well organised and adaptable in terms of developing course content, since this may vary depending on the audience. There may also be times when co-delivery of training sessions is appropriate.

The ability to work in cohesive partnerships with other organisations and skills in training, facilitation and project management are also important attributes for this post.   Applicants must be flexible as this post will involve some travel across Bromley, Lewisham and Greenwich, and working hours may vary.
