About the role

Mind is a highly regarded local charity, helping people to be mentally healthy and working together with those experiencing mental health problems and dementia to improve their quality of life. With an annual turnover of £5M, over 150 staff and 260 volunteers, we are one of the largest charities in the Mind network

Our organisation relies on the effectiveness of its ICT in order to provide the support we do to people. We have contracts with external providers for our IT, mobile, phone and internet infrastructure. A key function of this role is to manage these contracts to ensure that they are meeting service level agreements.

As an organisation we seek to keep up to date with technology and there are often new initiatives that the post holder will need to project manage, working alongside the contractors and internal stakeholders.

The post holder will line manage the ICT Coordinator, who assists with day to day functions such as updating databases and ensuring new starters get equipment on time.

You will be highly organised and proactive about sustaining and improving an ICT infrastructure that is fit for our purpose. You will also have excellent relationship building and communication skills.

We recognise the importance of having a diverse and inclusive workforce, and would therefore particularly welcome applications from the following, currently under-represented, groups:

  • People from Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) backgrounds
  • Young people
  • Disabled people
  • People with diverse sexual orientations and gender identities

BLG Mind is committed to meeting the reasonable adjustments of disabled people.  BLG Mind always welcomes applications from people with lived experience of mental health problems.

Staff benefits include a matched contribution pension scheme, 25 days' holiday (pro-rata, rising with service), quality supervision and training opportunities. See our website for more reasons to work for Bromley, Lewisham & Greenwich Mind.
