Bromley, Lewisham & Greenwich Mind - HR Officer

About the role

Bromley, Lewisham & Greenwich Mind is a highly regarded local charity, helping people to be mentally healthy and working together with those experiencing mental health problems and dementia to improve their quality of life. With an annual turnover of £6M, over 150 staff and 200 volunteers, we are one of the largest charities in the Mind network.

Due to recent expansion within the organisation, we have an exciting new vacancy in our HR department for an HR Officer. You will provide comprehensive administrative support to our friendly and committed HR team, to ensure the smooth operation of a busy HR function.   With experience of working in an administrative role in an office and a proven ability to use Microsoft Office applications, especially Outlook, Excel and Word, you will enjoy a varied workload which requires excellent attention to detail. You will have experience of planning and prioritising your work and be able to follow procedures as well as using your own initiative.

A flexible can-do attitude and a calm, problem-solving approach are also essential for this role. If you have what it takes we would love to hear from you.  We recognise the importance of having a diverse and inclusive work force, and would therefore particularly welcome applications from the following, currently under-represented, groups:

• People from culturally diverse communities
• People of all ages
• Disabled people
• People with diverse sexual orientations and gender identities

BLG Mind is committed to meeting the reasonable adjustments of disabled people and always welcomes applications from people with lived experience of mental health problems.  BLG Mind offers flexibility for hybrid working (some days at home and some in the office) where this supports staff wellbeing and fits with the needs of clients and the charity. As a people-focused organisation, we expect all staff to spend regular time at their work base as part of these arrangements.
