About the role

Brent, Wandsworth & Westminster Mind has been delivering services and support for people living in Brent,Wandsworth, Westminster and in some neighbouring boroughs for over 40 years. Our aim is to help people in our local communities to have better mental health and wellbeing and to live the best lives possible.

Brent, Wandsworth & Westminster Mind are looking to recruit two Recovery Assistants Support Workers for our Housing service in Brent. These posts offer an exciting opportunity to develop your skills and broaden your experience in the mental health field. Your role will be to work alongside housing staff in the field to deliver support to people with mental health issues to help them maintain their accommodation, develop skills and ensure their recovery journey in the community.

Some of the key skills are:

  • To provide intensive housing management support to people with mental health needs to enable them to maintain their tenancies and to achieve their aspirations for move on into independent accommodation.
  • Carry out weekly and quarterly health and safety checks and reports.
  • Carry out all resettlement support work with tenants within the core objective. Ensure all work is recovery focused and evidence based.
  • Provide support as required to the Housing Services Manager.
