About the role

This is an ideal opportunity for someone wishing to gain valuable experience of developing peer support in a dynamic national charity, supporting the day to day work of the Leadership and Engagement team. The role offers the opportunity to gain experience of communicating with our peer support community through a variety of online channels, and to attend and promote peer support events, meetings and activities.

Peer support is when people use their own experiences to help each other and this can be through groups, online communities, befriending and mentoring.

The Volunteer will work on growing and developing our peer support communities, with opportunities to gain experience in both face-to-face and online communications. This is an ideal role for someone looking to gain a broad range of different skills, from website development and maintenance, creating and proofing engaging copy, and assisting the team out and about at inspiring meetings and events.

The role is flexible and we are looking for someone who can volunteer from our London office, ideally for up to 2 days per week. Although the post is unpaid, we can offer reimbursement of reasonable travel up to £15.00 per day and lunch expenses up to £5 per day.
