"Brilliant to meet so many amazing people/projects and share ideas. My enthusiasm and ideas have been refuelled."
On December 10 2015, 250 people attended Peerfest – our annual celebration of peer support, and over 40 organisations exhibited.
Peerfest this year was all about diversity and celebrating peer support in all its different shapes and sizes, in mental health and beyond.
This year Lancashire Mind and local and national partners brought a blend of talks, workshops, art and craft, exhibitors, networking and music. We also featured the award presentation of the Marsh Award for Mental Health Peer Support.
Peerfest will be back to celebrate in 2018 – make sure you're on our database to receive updates and news by emailing [email protected].
"Long may this continue. Every corner of the country should have one of these."
We spoke to the participants from Peerfest throughout the day about their involvement with peer support. Find out what they said about the way they engage with peer support, what peer support means to them, and how they benefit from it. They also shared about their journey that led them to Peerfest in 2015.
