It has been reported that hundreds of people die by suicide every year in Wales. It is extremely important that those who are bereaved by a suicide or unexplained death can access practical and emotional support during such a difficult time.
“Help is at Hand” Cymru was launched in June 2013 by Public Health Wales as a useful self-help guide for people living and working in Wales.
The guide aims to offer support for those who are affected by suicide or unexplained death, and includes advice on practical matters, support available and how friends and colleagues can help.
Cofnodwyd bod cannoedd o bobl yn marw drwy hunanladdiad bob blwyddyn yng Nghymru.
Mae'n hynod o bwysig bod cymorth ymarferol ac emosiynol ar gael i'r sawl sy'n galaru oherwydd hunanladdiad neu farwolaeth na ellir ei hesbonio yn ystod amser mor anodd.
Lansiwyd "Cymorth wrth Law" Cymru (Saesneg) ym mis Mehefin 2013 gan Iechyd Cyhoeddus Cymru fel canllaw hunan-gymorth defnyddiol i bobl sy'n byw ac yn gweithio yng Nghymru.
Nod y canllaw yw rhoi cymorth i'r sawl sy'n cael eu heffeithio gan hunanladdiad neu farwolaeth na ellir ei esbonio, ac mae'n cynnwys cyngor ar faterion ymarferol, cymorth sydd ar gael a sut y gall ffrindiau a chydweithwyr helpu.
