Thank you to all our sponsors

The Mind Media Awards could not exist without the generosity of sponsorship. We would like to thank the following sponsors for their support this year.

Bupa

Headline sponsor

Bupa's purpose is helping people live longer, healthier, happier lives. We recognise that mental health is just as important as physical health and believe in helping people to feel better and stay well. Health insurance accounts for the major part of our business and we offer the UK's most extensive mental health cover, designed for individuals and families. We provide health insurance to 2.2 million people and have 470 dental practices, 49 health clinics and care for around 6,800 residents in 138 care homes.

Since 2015 the Bupa UK Foundation has awarded £1.7m to over 65 different charity projects to improve mental health. Projects funded are piloting new interventions and services, supporting people in crisis and creating communities for mutual support. We're proud to support the Mind Media Awards and to help tackle the stigma which prevents so many people from seeking help. We're looking forward to working with Mind soon on something very special.

Counselling Directory

Sponsor of the Documentary award

Counselling Directory has been helping connect people with the help they need since 2005. Listing more than 17,000 professional counsellors and psychotherapists nationwide, everyone has the opportunity to find mental health support. Counselling Directory also provides helpful information on therapy types and common mental health concerns, articles from qualified therapists, as well as public and professional events. Counselling Directory is part of the Happiful family. We exist to support others, to continually challenge stigma around mental health and mental illness, and to promote wellbeing.

Carbon Creative

Sponsor of the Drama award

We are Carbon Creative, an award-winning and ethics driven agency. We create beautiful brands, wonderful websites, compelling campaigns and magical motion. We believe that combining effective design with inspiring story telling can be transformative. It can change patterns of health, encourage positive perceptions and improve people's lives, making the world a better place. We see this in our work with charities, social health, wellbeing, education and environmental organisations. As designers we invent, evolve, iterate and adapt because we love what we do and we care what you do.

We are incredibly proud to have worked with Mind for the last eight years and be sponsoring the Drama award. Raising awareness of mental health across the media has a powerful impact, keeping both minds and conversations open, helping increase understanding and support.

McVitie's

Sponsor of the Speaking Out award

McVitie's is the nation's best loved biscuit brand, with a rich 180 year heritage and portfolio of family favourites from Chocolate Digestives to Hobnobs and Jaffa Cakes, consumed by 80% of UK households.

As a business, we have been supporting the mental health of our colleagues through our internal 'Positive Mind's' campaign for several years, with over 100 mental health and wellbeing ambassadors, a commitment to train all line managers on mental health awareness and a 24/7 employee assistance programme, but we knew we could do more.

Biscuits have the ability to start conversations and connect people, which is why we decided to support Mind in its mission to drive awareness around the importance of talking for mental wellbeing through our 'Let's Talk' campaign, encouraging the nation to get chatting over a cuppa and a biccie. As part of our commitment, we are also supporting Mind with the opening of new Time to Change Hubs and training hundreds of new champions in the UK.

PG Tips

Sponsor of the Making a Difference award

Over 9 million people in the UK say that they feel lonely often or most of the time. People of all ages and life stages are affected and loneliness and social isolation has a clear impact on mental health. In parallel, more than half of the UK population feel distant from their neighbours and don't feel they can reach out for support.

PG tips, the nation's favourite tea brand, is on a mission to help tackle the issue of loneliness by bringing people together over a cuppa: because we believe cuppas taste better together. We are proudly sponsoring the Making A Difference award, recognising those who have used their platform to share experiences which have helped a huge number of young people feel less alone.
