Our research shows that emergency services personnel are just as likely to seek help from a colleague as from a GP, so your support can be really valuable.

People with PTSD can sometimes feel stigma about their condition. This can be particularly true for staff and volunteers in the emergency services, where there is often a workplace culture of ‘staying strong’. But you don’t have to be a mental health expert to give support – often, small everyday actions can make the biggest difference.
