Five reasons to fundraise for Mind

 1. We need your help

We can think of lots of reasons why you should fundraise for Mind, but we're sure you'll agree the most important is because nobody should face a mental health problem alone, and we need your help to make that happen.

With your support we can give people a way forward, help them to understand their options and get support and know that they're not alone.

You'll also be helping us to campaign for better services and support so people experiencing a mental health problem get the help they need, when they need it.

"It is so awesome to see so much support for better mental health. I wouldn't be here without the help of Mind and people like you. So I just wanted to say a huge thanks, you're all doing amazing things!"

- Claire, Mind Running Group, Facebook

2. We'll support you all the way

Another great reason to join our fundraising team is that we love our fundraisers and we'll do everything we can to make sure you feel supported and have a great experience fundraising for us.

Check out our resource centre for tips and guides we've put together to help you fundraise and you can always get in touch if you need some support.

If you're taking part in one of our bigger events, we'll be there cheering you on, as loudly as we can!

Whatever you are doing, we'll be cheering you in spirit - our fundraisers are amazing and we're so grateful for the effort you go to.

"There was always a friendly face at the other end of any emails or calls in the build up to the event and I really can’t speak highly enough of our event team at Mind."

- Jon, Mind Hike, 2016

3. You support each other

So many of our fundraisers comment on the support they receive from fellow fundraisers and the sense of community they feel.

Many of our fundraisers have personal experience of mental health problems or have supported someone else. You really care about fundraising for Mind and you care about each other, which is why you're such an amazingly supportive bunch.

Lots of this support happens online. We have several Facebook groups set up depending on the type of fundraising you're doing where you can get to know each other, share advice and tips.

"Hope you feel better soon! This is the first time I've ever run in my life too, and I've never done fundraising before so it's all new to me and I'm a bit nervous! Just putting one foot in front of the other right now."

- Laura, Mind Running Group, Facebook, supporting a fellow Mind runner

4. We'll spend your money responsibly and we'll treat you with respect

We're so grateful for the generosity and efforts of all our supporters and we'll spend your donations responsibly so that together we can make as big a difference as we can.

5. Something for everyone!

There are so many different ways to fundraise for Mind. From an active challenge - run, skydive, cycle, swim, hike, tap dance. To something equally fun but a bit more relaxing, like a Crafternoon. You can fundraise at a wedding, a dance, a party or a music event. And we love it when you come up with your own ideas - there really is no limit to your imagination!

Whatever you can think of, we'll be here to support you.

Please get involved and help make sure nobody faces a mental health problem alone. Thank you so much!
