Terms and conditions: Breadsong Book Members' Prize Draw

The prize draw is promoted and managed by Mind (the National Association for Mental Health) Registered Charity No. 219830

This prize draw is only open to Mind members who must provide the contact details below to be entered into the prize draw.

Free entry

There is no charge for entering the prize draw, no money is exchanged.


Members are eligible to enter the prize draw by providing their name, email address and postcode, via email to [email protected].

No other means of entry will be accepted.

Entry restrictions

The free prize draw entry is restricted to UK residents who are Mind members.

Employees of Mind or Bloomsbury and their immediate families may not apply, nor may anyone else directly associated with the competition.

Number of entries allowed

One entry per person only.

Opening and closing date

The opening date for the prize draw is 5 May 2022.

The closing time and date for entry to the prize draw is 19 May 2022 at 3pm. Winners will be notified by no later than 23 May 2022.


Six winners will receive a copy of Breadsong: How Baking Changed Our Lives by Kitty and Al Tait published by Bloomsbury. Please refer to restrictions on prizes under Entry Restrictions.

The prizes described are available at the date of publication. The prizes are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged or changed. There are no cash alternatives. In case of the winner being under 18 the prize will need to be claimed by a parent or guardian.

The draw

The draw will be carried out on 20 May 2022 by an electronic process. Six winners will be picked at random from all the entries.

Winner notification

The winner will be notified by email by no later than 23 May and prizes will be dispatched no later than 27 May. Winners will be asked to confirm their address. If the winner has not engaged within 2 days of receipt of the email or decides they do not want the prize, another draw under the same terms as the first draw will take place.

Mind will not announce the name of the winners, but the surname and entry of the 4 winners will be available on request by sending a stamped addressed envelope to Mind at the address below within 30 days from the closing date.

Lost or damaged entries

All entries will be added to a database for the draw at the closing date time. We cannot accept any responsibility for incomplete, lost, delayed or damaged entries. Proof of sending will not be accepted as proof of receipt.

Own risk and use of prizes

Descriptions of prizes are provided without a warranty of any kind. Unless prevented by law, in no event shall Mind (including its employees, affiliates and volunteers) be liable for any claim, demand, or damages arising out of or in any way connected with an entrant's entry to the prize draw or their use of a prize.

Acceptance of terms and conditions

It is a condition of entry that all terms and conditions are adhered to. Submission of an entry will be taken to mean acceptance of these terms and conditions.

Data protection

Mind will only process the personal data you have provided to administer the prize draw. Winners may however be asked to participate in publicity.

Entrants who do not wish to participate in this way, or who do not want their surname and county included on the list of winners made available on request (referred to above) must notify us within a reasonable period of time before the closing date of this promotion.
