We've put together some answers to questions people often ask us when supporting our work. We hope these are helpful to you but if you have any other questions regarding your donation to Mind please either email [email protected] or phone 020 8215 2243.
How can I donate to Mind?
You can donate online to Mind. You can also find details of how to donate to Mind via text, post and phone on this page.
How will my donation make a difference?
Mind is working hard to make sure nobody has to face a mental health problem alone. People need our support more than ever, and demand for our services is growing. With your support, we're having an impact on millions of lives. Find out what we achieved last year thanks to our amazing supporters.
What will Mind do with my details?
We are committed to treating you with respect and openness, so we have created a supporter promise explaining our use of your personal details
How much is spent on administration?
For every £1 we received in donations, we spent 79p on our charitable work. And for every £1 we spent on generating funds, we raised an average of £7.60. See how we raise and spend our money.
Why do you need to call your supporters?
Speaking over the phone is one of our most effective means of letting you know about our work and ways that you can help support us.
How often will you call me?
You will receive a maximum of one fundraising call per year. Occasionally you may receive other calls regarding administration. For example, we contact our supporters on an annual basis to find out whether your eligibilty for claiming Gift Aid has changed.
Why do you need to contact me about Gift Aid?
Gift Aid allows charities to claim the basic rate tax on every pound donated. So if you donated £100 to Mind, it means that you could actually be giving us £125. Giving under Gift Aid means that so much more money can be raised at no extra cost to you.
I would like to receive calls from Mind but I’m registered with the Telephone Preference Service (TPS) – will you still call me?
Yes, if you have opted in to receive phone calls from Mind then we will still call you. If we need to contact you for administration purposes, such as Gift Aid, then we still will. If you haven’t let us know that you’d like us to contact you by phone and you are registered with the TPS then we will be unable to phone you about anything else.
