About the Great North Run

The Great North Run is the world's largest half marathon wth an incredible atmosphere, starting in Newcastle upon Tyne and finishing by the sea in South Shields. 

It's an amazing event for all, whether you're after a personal best or just wanting to be a part of something special. 

Join Team Mind and help make sure no one has to face a mental health problem alone. 

How we'll support you

Whether you are a seasoned runner or a first-timer, Mind will be with you every step of the way. We offer all our runners a fantastic support package.

We will do all that we can to make sure that your Great North Run experience is one you will never forget.

What to expect when you join the team:

  • Lots of brilliant fundraising advice and support
  • Regular e-newsletter updates
  • A Mind running vest with your name in iron on letters
  • A post race reception with refreshments & celebrations!
