Top 10 fundraising tips
Are you ready to take on your next challenge?
Not only will it help you kickstart your healthy habits and challenge yourself, but it's also a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference and raise funds for an amazing cause.
To help you reach your fundraising goals, we've put together 10 top tips that are sure to make your efforts a success:
- Set yourself a target. Not only is it a great way to motivate yourself, but it also urges supporters to donate more to help you reach your target.
- Personalise your fundraising page. Personal stories resonate deeply and encourage others to support your efforts.
- Add your photos (preferably in your new Mind 👕) – show off your style and grab people's attention - perfect excuse for a selfie!
- Start early. The early bird gets the worm, and the early fundraiser gets the most donations. Start reaching out as soon as you sign up.
- Share, share, share. Every share is worth £10! Don’t be afraid to share your page multiple times – sometimes it takes people a few times before they donate.
- Use different platforms to spread the word - such as Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X, email, WhatsApp, etc - the more, the merrier!
- Matched funding. Check if your employer offers matched funding scheme - it's a great and easy way to double your donations.
- Share your progress. Update your supporters and celebrate milestones (share your milestone medals!) to keep them engaged and motivated to donate.
- Say thank you. Good manners go a long way. Make sure to thank your donors publicly and inspire others to donate as well.
- Getting to the finish line! Keep fundraising even after the challenge has finished as 20% of all donations come in after the event has ended.
