Share your story and help others feel less alone

We are currently putting together the Spring edition of the Membership magazine and we have several opportunities for members to share their personal experiences. You can find out more about what these are below.

The deadline to share your story is Wednesday 14 March.

It  makes such a difference to our members to read other members' stories. To say thank you for contributing, all members who feature will receive a £20 Love2shop voucher.

We may not be able to include everyone who sends in their story but we do read each one and we will keep you in mind for future editions. There is also the opportunity to blog for us on our website.

Sleeping pills

Sleeping pills and minor tranquillisers are prescribed for severe anxiety and sleeping problems. If taken correctly, they can reduce symptoms of anxiety, such as feeling very agitated or shaky and help you break a period of insomnia and return to a more healthy sleep pattern.

If you have experience of sleeping pills, whether positive or negative, and would be willing to share your story then we'd like to hear from you. You will be interviewed by our editor and we would love to feature a photo of you.

Parenting with a mental health problem

Many people worry that it will be difficult to cope with parenting if they have a mental health problem. However, with the right support and resources, it is perfectly possible to be a good parent while managing a mental health problem.

We are looking for parents who would like to share their own experience and any advice they have for others. You will be interviewed by our editor and we would love to feature a photo of you.

Supporting someone with children and a mental health problem

Support from friends and family is very helpful when looking after children. This is particularly true if someone is unwell. Have you had to support someone with children who is also experiencing a mental health problem? Have you had to provide practical or emotional support? Share your story in the magazine.
