Calling all carers, family, friends and members

Do you have a carer who supports you when you're struggling with your mental health? Or are you a carer, family or friend, of someone with a mental health problem? In the next four-page-focus we're going to be looking at the role of carers, both official and unofficial. We'd like to know about the different roles carers play in your lives, what they mean to you, and how they help you.

We'd also really like to hear from you if you're a carer yourself, how you help and what it means to you. We might need you to have a chat over the phone with our Editor Matt, and we'd really like to publish your name and photo alongside your story as well. To get involved, you can share your experience with us below.

Your chance to be a cover star!

The next front cover of our magazine is going to feature some really important people to Mind, our members. We're on the lookout for photos of you with someone who supports you when you're unwell, or someone who you support through a mental health problem. We're going to collate them into a collage, so we're looking for as many as possible. They'll need to be as high quality as possible, but one taken on a smartphone should be ok. Don't forget to make sure that the other person in your photo is happy to appear on the front cover of our magazine! You can send your photos in to us here

What's it like to live with schizophrenia?

Do you have a diagnosis of schizophrenia? We're going to be looking at it for our next ‘mental health in focus’ page, and are asking for a member to get involved in helping us produce it. You don't need any special skills to get involved, just be happy to discuss your experience honestly with our editor, Matt. We'd also like to publish your name and photo in the magazine.

Share your experience of St John's wort

For our next ‘focus on’ treatment page, we’re going to look at St John's wort. We know lots of people use this herbal remedy to manage their symptoms of insomnia, depression or anxiety, so we want to find out what it's really like to take the remedy.

We’re looking for someone with experience of taking St John's wort, who can talk honestly about the positives and negatives involved, is happy to have their photo and first name published in the magazine and would be comfortable discussing their experience over the phone with our friendly editor, Matt. If this sounds like you, please let us know
