Tameside, Oldham and Glossop Mind – mental health urgent triage navigator

We're looking for a navigator to join the team. Reporting to the project manager, the navigator will:

  • Work with clients in crisis, supporting with de-escalation and risk management
  • Work with other services, specifically Pennine Trust, GMMH Trust, GMP and NWAS
  • Support clients to live well in their own communities 
  • Work with community crisis services to make sure clients access the most appropriate response

We're looking for someone who:

  • Can listen and ask questions to understand others and build trust
  • Will learn, seek insight, and grow from experience
  • Can take personal responsibility for their own development and the development of others
  • Has experience providing support to members of the public
  • Can work independently to deliver services safely
  • Is willing to do training and qualifications relevant to the role
  • Understands emotional wellbeing and mental health issues
  • Understands the approaches we use to help people achieve better mental health
  • Has a good knowledge of common mental health problems
  • Understands professional boundaries
