Tameside, Oldham and Glossop Mind – families in mind navigator

Reporting to the Families Project Manager, the appointed practitioner will support families by ensuring a safe space to explore their struggles and conflicts with the view to access our support services.

What you'll do

In this role you'll:

  • Work towards empowering the whole family to work together to build stronger relationships
  • Offer effective family support with a localised approach
  • Work flexibly to meet the needs of local families
  • Contribute to the promotion/growth of the service 

About you

We're looking for someone with:

  • A commitment and enthusiasm for working with families
  • Experience in managing risks and safeguarding concerns
  • Ability and confidence to manage conflicts within families calmly and with compassion
  • Skills to navigate difficult situations and to professionally challenge within sessions as well as within the wider system
  • Ability and willingness to build and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues, families, education, and other health professionals
